वर्षा रंसोरे मध्य प्रदेश के बड़वाह शहर की रहने वाली हैं। वे दो भाइयों और एक बहन में सबसे बड़ी हैं। घर में विपरीत परिस्थितिओं के बावजूद, इनकी माँ ने इन्हे ऐसी परवरिश दी कि वे सिलाई, नृत्य और पुराने हिंदी गाने गाना जैसे शौंक रख सकें। अपनी पूरी ज़िन्दगी इन्होनें अपनी माता, जशोदा बाई को घर की ज़रूरतें पूरी करने के लिए कठिन परिश्रम करते देखा है। ऐसा करने के लिए उन्होंने ऑफिस में साफ़-सफाई और चाय बाँटने से लेकर लोगों के घरों में सफाई का काम भी किया है। उनकी मदद करने के लिए और अपनी कुछ ज़रूरतें पूरी करने के लिए, वर्षा ने ईट की भट्टी में सर पर ईटें तक उठायीं। अपनी पढ़ाई का खर्चा पूरा करने के लिए उन्होंने कॉलेज में पढ़ने के साथ-साथ, स्कूल जाकर बच्चों को पढ़ाने का काम भी किया। वे अपनी माँ को और परेशान नहीं करना चाहती थी क्योंकि उन्हें लगता था कि उनके कंधो पर वैसे ही बहुत सी ज़िम्मेदारियाँ हैं। आज वर्षा के पास पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू डिग्री कॉलेज, बड़वाह से मास्टर्स इन सोशल वर्क की डिग्री है। एस.पी.एस कम्युनिटी मीडिया में वर्षा एक कहानीकार हैं और महिलाओं की हिम्मत और
संघर्षभरी कहानियाँ लिखती हैं। वे काम करते रहना चाहती हैं और उम्मीद करती हैं कि वे किसी दिन अपनी माँ के लिए एक घर बना सकें।
Varsha Ransore lives in Barwaha, Madhya Pradesh. She is the eldest amongst siblings of two brothers and one sister. Even in adversaries in the house, her mother brought her up to allow her the joy of engaging in her hobbies of sewing, dancing and singing old Hindi songs. Throughout her life, she has seen her mother, Jashoda-bai, toil to make both ends meet doing odd jobs of house help, office help, cleaning and serving tea in office premises. To help her mother and to fulfill her own needs, Varsha too had to do odd jobs once in a while. She had even worked at a brick kiln, carrying heavy brick head loads and toiling by the furnace. Even while she was studying in college, she worked as a school teacher to meet her expenses – she did not want to burden her mother who she felt had enough on her shoulders. Today, she has a degree in Masters in Social Work from Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Degree College, Barwawa. At SPS Community Media, Varsha is a storyteller, weaving stories of women in strife and of courage. Varsha wants to continue working and hopes to built a house for her mother someday.
कहानियों से बहलाती थीं। BA में स्नातक करके, वे एस पी एस कम्युनिटी मीडिया में शामिल हो गयीं जहाँ वे मीडिया के तरह-तरह के रूपों से परिचित हुईं। आज वे कहानियाँ लिखती हैं, पॉडकास्ट के माध्यम से उन्हें महिला और किसान संगठनों को सुनाती हैं, और फोटोग्राफी भी करती हैं। साथ ही, वे पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू डिग्री कॉलेज से मास्टर्स इन सोशल वर्क भी कर रही हैं। वे कहती हैं कि उन्हें काम करना पसंद है, इससे वे अपने घर की कुछ मदद कर पाती हैं और कहानियाँ सुनाने के काम में मज़ा भी आता है।
रोशनी चौहान मध्य प्रदेश के खरगोन ज़िले में स्थित एक छोटे से गाँव, राँझना की रहने वाली हैं। इस गाँव के दो भाग हैं, एक तरफ दांगी मुहल्ले के बड़े किसान रहते हैं और दूसरी तरफ, दरबार मुहल्ले के छोटे किसान और मज़दूरों के घर हैं। रोशनी के परिवार के पास थोड़ी ही ज़मीन है, पिता मज़दूरी करते हैं और माता सरकारी स्कूल में मध्याह्न भोजन योजना के लिए खाना पकाती हैं। रोशनी की तीन बहनें और एक भाई हैं। इन्हें हमेशा से ही फिल्मी गीत सुनने और गाने का बहुत शौक है। इसके अलावा, कहानियों से भी इनकी बहुत सी यादें जुड़ी हुई हैं। बचपन में, जब गर्मी के मौसम में रात को पूरा परिवार घर के बाहर खटिया लगाकर सोता था, तब रोशनी के दादाजी घर के बच्चो को कहानियाँ सुनाते थे। इन्हें आज भी उनकी सुनाई गयी 'लड्डू वाली मौसी' कहानी पूरी याद है। घर की कमज़ोर आर्थिक स्थिति के चलते रोशनी ने BA करने के साथ-साथ स्कूल में छोटे बच्चों को भी पढ़ाया। वहाँ वे बच्चो को गाड़ी और जोकर की
Roshni Chouhan lives in Ranjhna, a small village situated in the Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh. Her village is divided into two mohallas- Dangi mohalla and Darbar mohalla. Farmers with large land-holdings reside in the Dangi mohalla whereas Darbar mohalla is a colony of small farmers and labourers. Roshni’s family owns a small patch of land. Her father is a labourer and her mother cooks mid-day meals in a Government school. Roshni has three sisters and a brother. Her hobbies include listening to ‘filmy’ songs and signing them all the time. She also has fond memories of stories and story-sessions from her childhood. On summer nights, while the family slept in khatiyas under the sky, her grandfather would narrate stories to the children. Roshni still remembers the story of ‘Laddoo Waali Mausi’ that her grandfather used to tell them. To support the household, alongside doing her BA, Roshni also worked as a schoolteacher. In classrooms filled with small children, she used to weave stories of clowns and cars to keep them amused. After graduating from college, she joined SPS Community Media and got introduced to various forms of media work. Now, Roshni writes stories, shares them with women and farmers’ collectives through podcasts and does photography as well. Along with working, she is also pursuing a Masters in Social Work from Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Degree College, Barwaha. Roshni says, "I want to keep supporting my family. What better way to do that than narrating stories!"

लक्ष्मीनारायण देवड़ा मध्यप्रदेश के बागली तहसील में स्थित आदिवासी गाँव, पाण्डुतालाब के एक किसान हैं।
इनका बचपन संघर्ष भरा रहा l जब ये 15 साल के थे तब इनकी माताजी का देहांत हो गया। उनके जाने के बाद घर की कई जिम्मेदारियां इनके बड़े भाई और इन पर आ गई- घर का खाना बनाना, खेत में निंदाई बुआई का काम करना, आदि। घर में पैसो की तंगी होने के कारण, इन्होनें कई सालों तक सब्जियां बेचने का काम किया और दूसरों के खेतों में जाकर मजदूरी तक की। संघर्ष के इस दौर में भी इन्होनें अपनी पढ़ाई नहीं छोड़ी और कला में स्नातक करके, इतिहास में एम ए भी किया l
इस दौरान, समाज प्रगति सहयोग संस्था ने मीडिया कार्यक्रम शुरू किया और 2005 में लक्ष्मीनारायण इस कार्यक्रम का हिस्सा बने। कई सालों तक इन्होनें फिल्म निर्माण में सहयोग दिया और मोबाइल सिनेमा के द्वारा गॉंव गॉंव जाकर फ़िल्में दिखाने का काम किया। धीरे धीरे उन्होंने फिल्म रिसर्च, लोकेशन साउंड रिकॉर्डिंग और फोटोग्राफी का काम करना भी शुरू किया। आज वे अपनी फिल्मों में निर्देशन और कैमरा भी करते हैं l
इनके द्वारा निर्देशित फिल्में- 'ज्वार गाथा', 'मालीपुरा बाँध' और 'शुभ विवाह' कई राष्ट्रीय औरअंतराष्ट्रीय फिल्म फेस्टिवल्स का हिस्सा बनी हैं।
इन सब के अलावा, लक्ष्मीनारायण ने अपने कुछ दोस्तों के साथ 2007 में वन स्टार पब्लिक स्कूल पाण्डुतालाब की स्थापना की। यह स्कूल इस सोच से उभरा है कि इस क्षेत्र के दूरदराज गाँवों में आदिवासी बच्चों को शिक्षा मिल सके।

आजाद सिंह खिची मध्यप्रदेश के एक छोटे शहर, बागली, के रहने वाले हैं। इन्होनें विक्रम विश्व विद्यालय से बी. कॉम. कम्पयुटर एप्लीकेशन से स्नातक किया है। घर की ज़मीन होने के कारण उनका खेती में बचपन से ही जुड़ाव रहा है। दिसम्बर 2010 से वे समाज प्रगति सहयोग संस्था के कम्युनिटी मीडिया कार्यक्रम में जुड़े। इन्होनें अपने काम की शुरुआत, गांव-गांव में जाकर मोबाइल सिनेमा से फिल्में दिखाने से की। धीरे-धीरे, उनको कैमरा चलाना भी शुरू किया और थोड़े समय बाद वे संस्था से जुड़े कार्यक्रमों पर छोटी-छोटी फ़िल्में बनाने लगे।
अब वे फिल्म निर्देशन, एडिटिंग,फोटोग्राफी व साउन्ड रिकार्डींग में अपनी क्षमता बढ़ा रहे हैं। इनके द्वारा बनाई गई फिल्म 'पाँच पत्तियों का मंत्र' को मुम्बई में टेरी ग्रीन हीरो फिल्म फेस्टिवल में बेस्ट फिल्म आवार्ड मिला। इसके अलावा 2017 में इनकी फिल्म 'नगर और पानी फिर वही कहानी' को सी एम एस वातावरण फेस्टिवल, दिल्ली में स्पेशल जूरी मेंशन से सम्मानित किया गया। इनकी कई अन्य फिल्में राष्ट्रीय और अन्तराष्ट्रीय फिल्म फेस्टिवल्स में भी चयनीत हुई हैं।

ज्योति गढ़ेवाल लसार, मध्य प्रदेश में स्थित देवास जिले के नीमखेड़ा गांव में पली बढ़ी हैं। बचपन से ही उन्हें गांव में लड़के और लड़कियों में हो रहे सामाजिक भेद भाव से जूझना पड़ा। ज्योति यह साबित करना चाहती थी कि लड़कियां भी आर्थिक रूप से आत्मनिर्भर हो सकती हैं, इसलिए उन्होंने 2009 में समाज प्रगति सहयोग के कम्युनिटी मीडिया कार्यक्रम में नौकरी करना शुरू किया। उस दौरान वे बी ए प्रथम वर्ष की पढाई कर रही थीं। एस पी एस कम्युनिटी मीडिया में इन्होंने कंप्यूटर चलाना और फिल्म निर्माण सीख। आज, वे मुख्यतः एडिटिंग का काम करती हैं, साथ ही फोटो दस्तावेजीकरण को व्यवस्थित तरीके से रखती हैं।
इनके द्वारा सह-निर्देशित फिल्म 'एक आशा' 8th IAWRT Asian Women's Film Festival 2012 में प्रदर्शित की गई है । ज्योति को कहानियों की किताबें पढ़ना बहुत पसंद है, वे मानती हैं कि उन्हें कहानियों से प्रेरणा मिलती है। इसके अलावा इन्हें फ़िल्में देखने का भी शौक है।
इकबाल हुसैन मध्यप्रदेश के देवास जिले में स्थित बागली शहर के रहने वाले हैं l वे स्कूल में एक होनहार छात्र थे, उनकी पढ़ाई में बहुत रुचि थी, परन्तु घर की आर्थिक स्थिति ठीक न होने के कारण, उन्हें 12वी के बाद अपनी पढ़ाई छोड़नी पड़ी। इन्होनें एक कपड़े की दुकान में काम करना शुरू किया। 3 साल बाद, 2011 में वे एस.पी.एस कम्युनिटी मीडिया के साथ जुड़े। यहाँ, ट्रेनिंग के दौरान इन्होंने मोबाइल सिनेमा के माध्यम से गाँव-गाँव जाकर फ़िल्में दिखाने का काम किया l धीरे-धीरे, इन्होंने फिल्म निर्माण के अन्य पहलु - निर्देशन, कैमरा, एडिटिंग, लोकेशन साउंड, रिसर्च और स्क्रिप्टिंग भी सीखे l

समीर रंगरेज मध्यप्रदेश के देवास जिले में स्थित बागली शहर के रहने वाले हैं। बचपन से ही वे अपने घर की खेती का काम संभाल रहे हैं। खेती की ज़मीन कम होने के कारण उन्होंने अपनी 12 वीं की पढ़ाई के साथ-साथ 2018 में समाज प्रगति सहयोग संस्था के कम्युनिटी मीडिया कार्यक्रम में काम करना शुरू किया। यहाँ, इनकी ट्रेनिंग की शुरुआत मोबाइल सिनेमा के द्वारा फ़िल्में दिखाने से हुई और साथ ही इन्होनें लोकेशन साउंड रिकॉर्डिंग का काम भी सीखा। आज, वे स्टिल फोटोग्राफी भी करते हैं और मीडिया कार्यक्रम के अन्य कामों में अपना सहयोग देते हैं।
प्रदीप लेखवार का बचपन उत्तराखण्ड की पहाड़ियों पर बीता। बचपन से ही इन्हें कला में दिलचस्पी रही है। बारवीं करने के बाद, वे शादियों की वीडियो मिक्सिंग सीखने के लिए अपना गाँव छोड़कर देहरादून चले गए और एक फिल्म प्रोडक्शन कम्पनी, 'चैनल माउंटेन कम्युनिकेशन' में पाँच साल तक एडिटिंग का काम किया। काम के साथ-साथ इन्होंने बी ए में स्नातक और पत्रकारिता व जनसंचार में पोस्ट ग्रेजुएट डिप्लोमा किया।
नौकरी की तलाश में इन्होंने कुछ समय दिल्ली और मुम्बई में भी बिताया। पिछले 6 साल से वे एस पी एस कम्युनिटी मीडिया से जुड़े हुए हैं। यहाँ, इन्होंने डॉक्यूमेंटरी फिल्मों के बारे में गहराई से सीखा। आज वे एडिटिंग के अलावा फिल्म निर्देशन, सांउड मिक्सिंग, साउंड रिकॉर्डिंग, कैमरा और फोटोग्राफी भी करते हैं। इनकी पहली निर्देशित डॉक्यूमेंटरी फिल्म 'अपना बाज़ार' 2016 में पीस विल्डर इंटरनेशनल फिल्म फेस्टिवल, दिल्ली में दिखाई गई। इनके द्वारा एडिट की गई डॉक्यूमेंटरी फिल्में, 'मालीपुरा बाँध' और 'ज्वार गाथा' कई राष्ट्रीय और अंतराष्ट्रीय फिल्म फेस्टिवल्स में दिखाई जा चुकी हैं।
इन्हें खाना बनाना और अपने आस-पास के सभी लोगो को उत्तराखंड की कहानियाँ सुनाने का बहुत शौक है।

2012 में वे समाज प्रगति सहयोग संस्था के कम्युनिटी मीडिया कार्यक्रम से जुड़े। काम करने के साथ-साथ इन्होनें अपनी बी ए की पढ़ाई भी पूरी की है। वे कम्युनिटी मीडिया के फिल्म दिखाने के कार्यक्रम का संचालन करने में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान देतें हैं और फिल्म निर्माण में वे साउंड रिकॉर्डिंग का काम भी करते है।
फिल्म बनाने और दिखाने के दौरान, इन्होंने कहानियाँ लिखना भी शुरू किया। अब, कहानियाँ पढ़ना और लिखना इनका शोक बनता जा रहा है।
संदीप नाचने के शौक़ीन हैं और इन्हें क्रिकेट देखना व खेलना भी बहुत पंसद है।

मिलिंद छाबड़ा दिल्ली के रहने वाले हैं और इन्होंने दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय से अंग्रेजी साहित्य की पढाई की है। वह थिएटर, फोटोग्राफी और फिल्मों में रुचि रखते हैं और इन रूचियों को जोड़ने के लिए आगे चलकर सिनेमाटोग्राफर बनने का सोच रहे हैं। मिलिंद को लोगों की कहानियाँ सुनने में बहुत मज़ा आता है। आज वे एस.पी.एस कम्युनिटी मीडिया में काम कर रहे हैं जहाँ पर उन्हें कहानियों को पॉडकास्ट और फिल्मों के माध्यम से सांझा करने का मौका मिल रहा है।
Milind Chhabra is a Delhite and has studied English literature from Delhi University. He is interested in theater, photography and films and to combine these interests, he thinks of becoming a cinematographer. Milind enjoys listening to people's stories. Today, he is working in SPS Community media and is trying to voice these stories through podcasts and films.

माया एक दृश्य कलाकार हैं और अपने आप को ड्राइंग, इमेज और वीडियो के माध्यम से अभिव्यक्त करती हैं। वे कला के माध्यम से समुदायों के साथ काम करती हैं; ज्यादातर महिलाएँ, बच्चे और क्वीर लोग। उन्होंने सृष्टि इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ आर्ट, डिज़ाइन एंड टेक्नोलॉजी में कला और डिज़ाइन की पढ़ाई की है।
Maya is a visual artist expressing through drawing, image and video. She works with communities through art; mostly women, children and queer folk. She studied art and design at Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology.
दीपज्योति एक फ्रीलान्स फोटोग्राफर हैं और दिल्ली में काम करते हैं। वह मुख्य रूप से उपसंस्कृति, लैंगिक समानता, वैकल्पिक कला और देश के शहरी एवं ग्रामीण स्थानों के समुदायों के साथ काम करते हैं। वे इनसे जुड़ीं सामाजिक व राजनीतिक पहलुओं में ख़ासतौर पर रुचि रखते हैं।

One fearful night, a man had to take refuge in the jungles, for he dared to help the revolutionaries against the British rule. That very night his wife bore him a son, Jinendr – 1st October, 1940.
Freedom movement in full swing, the father continued the revolutionary work under the command of Chandra Shekhar Azad.

Migration to Delhi - 1958 - a clerk in the Asian Theatre Institute (later known as National School of Drama). Interest in theatre, an avid reader, writer, poet - aspiring to study and grow. Joined classes in evening college - Library Science, BA, MA from Delhi University.
A librarian and teacher in St. Columbus, teaching Hindi and Sanskrit – 1963 to 2000. Active engagement in theatre, poetry recitation, counseling, spread literacy through exhibitions, participate in ‘Each One, Teach One' literacy program and social work - free coaching for children from economically weak background & children in blind school; cleanliness drive in localities in Delhi.
Now a retired, responsible citizen.

Shobhit Jain is a founder member of Samaj Pragati Sahayog (SPS), a voluntary organisation working in one of the most remote, drought-prone, tribal areas of Central India. Somewhere along his journey in the organisation, he co-founded SPS Community Media in order to articulate the issues of rural concerns, and bring awareness and new learning to the people who have largely remained outside the development. An alumnus of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) and an independent filmmaker himself whose films have been appreciated in many international film festivals, films emerged as the obvious primary medium. While making films on rural concerns, he picked talents from the villages, gradually initiating and training them in filmmaking and story weaving. Today, a bunch of young talents from rural central India is leading the media program making films and weaving stories at the studio at Neemkheda village. While screening these films in the villages remain the primary focus, these films have also been screened in many national as well as international film festivals, winning several awards.
He is a guide and a mentor to the story weavers in TERRA TALES बदलती ज़मीन पलटते पन्ने.

Pinky Brahma Choudhury is an independent filmmaker who articulates issues concerning people on the margin through films. Her debut documentary film Duphang-ni Solo (An Autumn Fable) made in 1997 was widely acclaimed internationally – it is an allegory on the political situation of the 1990s in the Bodo dominant area in Assam, where the Bodo community was striving for their identity. Alumni of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), she has co-founded SPS Community Media to create a dialogue on the rural concerns in the impoverished tribal area in central India. Along with making films, she also initiated local talents into filmmaking and story weaving. Today, a bunch of young talents from remote central India is leading SPS Community Media, making films at the studio at Neemkheda village. While screening these films in the villages remain the primary focus, these films have also been screened in many national as well as international film festivals, winning several awards. Her deep interest in the environment and people on the margins have led her to use media to campaign for many environmental and social issues in the area. TERRA TALES बदलती ज़मीन पलटते पन्ने is her idea. She has initiated and trained young talents to bring tales of the people and their struggle in the changing times.
